On October 23, our colleague María Emilia Salazar traveled to Pontevedra to participate in the meeting of the CASANDRA project, a collaborative initiative bringing together various organizations with a common goal: advancing towards a more connected, intelligent, and sustainable industry.
During the day, project partners visited the Nodosa facilities, a leading company in the naval sector and a strategic partner in this initiative. The visit allowed a detailed understanding of their production processes, assessment of progress made so far, and coordination of the next steps to continue driving industrial digital transformation.
The CASANDRA project: building the connected factory of the future
The CASANDRA project represents a decisive step toward creating a connected, intelligent, and autonomous factory. Its main objective is to develop a digital manufacturing methodology capable of tracking the evolution of the digital twin of each component throughout its entire lifecycle within the supply chain.
This approach enables the integration of information, processes, and technologies in a coordinated way, allowing for more precise, efficient, and sustainable production management.
