ARSOFT takes part in DATAGIA’s technical workshops in Castilla y León to boost decision-making in the agri-food sector

ARSOFT participa en las jornadas técnicas de DATAGIA para impulsar el sector agroalimentario en Castilla y León
ARSOFT is actively involved in the digital transformation of the agri-food sector in Castilla y León through its participation in DATAGIA, a data-driven digital platform designed to improve decision-making across the entire agri-food value chain. As a technological partner, ARSOFT contributes its expertise in Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics to help make data more accessible, practical and useful for sector professionals.

The digital transformation of the agri-food sector is already a reality in Castilla y León, and ARSOFT is actively involved in this process through its participation in the DATAGIA project, the Digital Agri-food Platform aimed at improving data-driven decision-making across the entire value chain of the sector.

Over the coming weeks, DATAGIA will be present in several provinces of Castilla y León through on-site technical workshops designed to bring the platform closer to those who play an active role in the sector. ARSOFT will take part in the sessions taking place on 3 February in Burgos and on 9 February in Soria.

DATAGIA: putting data at the service of the countryside

DATAGIA is an initiative promoted by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development of the Regional Government of Castilla y León and ITACyL, within the RETECH PAN project (funded by Next Generation EU funds). The objective is clear: to ensure that data truly helps improve the efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness of the agri-food sector.

The platform combines Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and advanced analytics. It analyses large volumes of information from the field, the industry and the productive environment, transforming them into practical insights for those responsible for decision-making.

Workshops across the region: technology explained up close

To ensure DATAGIA truly reaches professionals, a comprehensive programme of on-site and online technical workshops has been organised throughout Castilla y León.

These sessions are aimed at farmers, livestock breeders, cooperatives, agri-food industries, technicians and other sector stakeholders. The goal is to demonstrate, in a practical way, how DATAGIA can be used on a day-to-day basis. Each session presents real use cases, explains the platform’s functionalities and addresses questions directly on site.

ARSOFT will participate in the on-site workshops in Burgos (3 February) and Soria (9 February), sharing its experience as a technological partner in the project.

The 22 January webinar: a strong start

As an initial introduction, a DATAGIA presentation webinar was held on 22 January and received a very positive response. The objectives of the project, the platform’s capabilities and its potential impact on decision-making within the sector were explained.

Guillermo Pérez, from ARSOFT, took part in the webinar, outlining the company’s role in DATAGIA and how its technological solutions contribute to the project. The high level of participation demonstrates the agri-food sector’s need for digital tools that enable more efficient and sustainable management.

What ARSOFT offers DATAGIA

At ARSOFT, we have been developing advanced technological solutions related to Extended Reality (Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality) and Artificial Intelligence for many years.

Our participation in DATAGIA reflects our approach to innovation: it must be useful, applicable and closely connected to the territory. Generating data alone is not enough — it must be interpreted and made understandable for those who make decisions every day, whether in the field or in industry. Specifically, within this strategic project, ARSOFT joins as a technological partner, contributing its expertise in explainable AI, intelligent analytics, IIoT networks and immersive Augmented Reality experiences, with the aim of transforming the agri-food value chain, optimising everything from traceability to the reuse of by-products.

DATAGIA’s technical workshops represent an important step in the modernisation of the agri-food sector in Castilla y León. Combining technology, knowledge and a strong presence in the territory makes it possible to move towards a more efficient and sustainable model.

At ARSOFT, we will continue to collaborate on initiatives like this, supporting the sector in its digital transformation and working to ensure that technology has a real impact on the development of our region.
