Follow-up meeting of the IMPULSO project

On July 19, a new follow-up meeting took place on the Impulso project, which is already in its final stretch.

During the meeting, the members of the consortium: Andalucía Aerospace, Cubicoff Ingeniería Abierta, Grupo Sevilla Control, ARSOFT and AEI Ciberseguridad have reviewed the actions carried out to date and the results of the work carried out during these months.

The consortium has established a conference to present the results, which will take place on September 20 in online format.

With this project, the digitization of automatic CNC machining processes has advanced and begun, obtaining knowledge of the behavior of the piece while it is being machined and with the advantage that the operator has all his work orders through Virtual Reality equipment.

With the simulations carried out on the machining of the part, it is possible to study the different cutting parameters such as cutting speed, depth of pass, as well as to study different machining strategies to study which is the most efficient.

On the other hand, after fatigue studies of the cutting tool used for machining, a knowledge of the duration or life of the tool is introduced in order to anticipate its breakage during the machining process.

With all these studies and simulations carried out, Grupo Sevilla Control (GSC) will obtain the necessary information on the behavior of the piece during machining, and in this way it will be able to carry out machining strategies and routes in the most efficient way and with the machining parameters more suitable.
