ARSOFT has been awarded in the Innovadores 2023 awards with the Iberaval Award for the Best ICT Project for its NextMed initiative. Santiago González, CEO of ARSOFT attended the awards ceremony held at the Business Solutions building in Arroyo de la Encomienda, Valladolid.
The Innovators Awards have become a stimulus for entrepreneurs and researchers. Each year it recognizes individuals, entities and companies that have stood out for their talent and for the contribution of knowledge and added value to the Community.
In the case of ARSOFT, the jury awarded the Iberaval Prize for the Best ICT Project for our NextMed platform. A solution designed for the study of medical images using technologies related to Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. Through the segmentation and automatic generation of 3D models, NextMed helps medical professionals to study and manipulate the 3D model of the organs they have to intervene. In this way, and thanks to the three-dimensional dimension, it increases the surgeon’s precision and safety when facing an operation, as the system helps him to understand what the structures and tissues of his patients are like.
It is the only industrialized platform on the market that covers the entire process, from obtaining medical images and automatic segmentation, thanks to artificial vision algorithms implemented by the ARSOFT team, to their visualization with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, which allows surgical planning to be carried out in simulated environments.

The Innovators Awards are a recognition of the tireless work of many people who strive every day to bring added value to this society. This year’s edition was attended, among others, by the vice-president of the Junta, Juan García-Gallardo, as well as several regional government ministers, such as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Employment, Mariano Veganzones, and the Minister of Health, Alejandro Vázquez.
