The digital classroom is here to stay. The Internet or new proposals such as robotics or XR technologies (Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality) are creating great opportunities for improvement in the teaching-learning methods of educational centers, and teachers need to integrate the digital classroom in their methodology. 

At ARSOFT we are experts in helping schools and colleges to implement and use XR technologies. Because of this, on June 30, we had the opportunity to give a course to professors from the University of Salamanca on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality techniques that can be used in the classroom. 

With this course, USAL professors were introduced to the world of XR technologies, and they were able to learn about the most innovative solutions that we at ARSOFT have developed for the industrial sector (EYEFLOW) and for the healthcare industry (NEXTMED). 

During the part of the course devoted to theory, the most relevant characteristics of these technologies were presented: how they are applied to different fields of knowledge, such as health sciences or industry. On the other hand, in the practical part, ARSOFT technicians gave several workshops in which they explained how content can be easily created with our EYEFLOW Author platform and how that content created in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality is visualized. Furthermore, the professors had the opportunity to learn about NextMed, the only industrialized platform on the market for viewing medical images, which has been developed by ARSOFT and is now being used in several hospitals in Spain, with excellent results. 

This course sparked a great interest in the professors of the University of Salamanca, and in only a few days, the course was fully booked.
