In this project, we work hand in hand with our partners Sevilla Control, Cubicoff, the Andalusia Aerospace aerospace business cluster and the Innovative Cybersecurity and Advanced Technologies Business Group.
How can XR technologies help in machining processes? What are we doing in this project?
At ARSOFT we have the platform that allows us to digitize processes with XR technologies: EYEFLOW.
Once the content has been created (digitalized machining procedures), we have verified how step-by-step guidance with Hololens glasses can help operators carry out the machining and subsequent inspection processes correctly with a standardized process.
On the other hand, Grupo Sevilla Control presented technical work instructions for the machining process on a Titanium part with additive manufacturing to generate the process’s digitization.
What is the result?
In the first place, the user can, through voice commands, obtain all the indications of the process step by step. This functionality allows the operator not to have to use his hands at any time to work freely.
On the other hand, the possibility of visualizing the connections that the EyeFlow Platform makes with digital twins through the HoloLens 2 Mixed Reality device is added, allowing the user to easily see operating indicators of the machinery that may be of interest.
In this context, our colleagues at Sevilla Control tested the content positioned in the natural environment to get feedback from the operators and the production manager, with satisfactory results that validate the use of Mixed Reality in industrial plants.
